How To Setup an Amazon Author Page

There are folks who really don’t like Amazon. Can’t blame them since Amazon tends to lean towards being a monopoly. I’m not one of those people due to the fact I’m an Amazon Prime member, I enjoy my Kindle Books and love watching on-demand content on Amazon Fire TV.

Have you ever ordered a product and seen how fast Amazon ships? Hello!

Amazon delivers the services very well despite some of their business tactics. Even the harshest critic have to admit Amazon provide some of the better tools for authors.

By taking the extra step to setup an Amazon Author Central account, an author has the ability to create a profile on Amazon. If you’re an author with multiple books, then this is a must-do for helping readers see all your books.

Why Setup an Amazon.com Author Page?

Some other reasons an author should setup an Amazon.com Author Central account are:

1. Authors can make sure ALL their books are added to their Amazon.com Author page. This works out well whether you are traditionally or independently published.

2. Authors can edit any of their books by updating the bio, description and even add endorsements/reviews.

3. Authors can customize their author page by updating the biography,  importing a blog or twitter feed, add photos, videos and events.

Those are pretty good reasons to me and something that I encourage all my clients to do.

So be sure you  sign up for your own at Author Central.

If you missed this post, be sure to setup a Goodreads Author Account too. These are two author profiles you should be sure to take the time to setup as soon as you start publishing books.
